Højboskolen

2021 marked the 100th anniversary of the International People’s College in Helsingør. This was to be celebrated with a major remodelling and extension. The extension consists of an architectonically beautiful expression of 1.100m2. The project is expected to be completed in 2022 and can thus open the beautiful new facilities for a lot of hopeful students.

Dragør municipality launched one of Denmark's largest single lighting energy renovation projects in 2020. A total tender for energy renovation of 15 buildings in collaboration with Ramboll as client advisor. The project was sent out in a tender and the electrical contractors had to take care of detailed design phase in collaboration with lighting suppliers. Lumega bid exclusively with collaboration from A & H El Teknik A / S from Brøndby. In a close strategic collaboration, we managed to win the project.

Scandinavian Property Development has been responsible for this redevelopment of a large industrial property in Valby. It consists of a thorough remodeling where the exterior walls, stairs and other major building structures were retained, but the rest modernized. The total area is 5355m2 and the user is Fonden Danske Diakonhjem.

The exciting new area, which has a total construction cost of DKK 48 million, includes 57 family homes, of which 18 homes are rented out. The project is expected to be completed in 2023.

If you’re a waste collector in Copenhagen, then you have something to look forward to. The large new building, which is being built by ARC, offers many facilities. The new facilities that will be built on Parkstien 12 in Valby will consist of offices, staff facilities, a carwash, and a workshop building. In addition, there is a large outdoor area for parking and charging the waste collection trucks.

Close to the sea in Haderslev, 160 exclusive owner-occupied homes are being built. Sales will start in the winter of 2021 and construction will start from the first quarter of 2022 and run until the end of 2023. With the new exclusive owner-occupied homes, Haderslev is expected to experience a larger group of newcomers.

Modernization and expansion of Højboskolen. This is an extensive project where communication spaces, common areas, classrooms are just some of the areas that the school will open in 2023. The team behind the project is NERD architects with COWI as the qualification process. The project is running in stages and is scheduled to be completed in 2023.

The architectural firm BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group has designed this project, which is characterized by many as an architectural masterpiece. FLUGT is a refugee museum and part of Vardemuseerne. It is an innovative construction, which offers an interesting insight into the history of the German war refugees.

You’ll find Bryggens Bastion among the biggest development projects in Copenhagen. This is a 7-hectare building plot attractively placed between Islands Brygge and Amagerbro. This project worth billions consist of several stages, and it is still unknown when all the stages will be completed.

Hørsholm municipality has a building most people know of. Trommen is a culture house in Hørsholm. Trommen is located in the same building as Hørsholm library and thus forms the framework for a good center in the municipality. The building was designed by architect Knud Munk and was inaugurated in 1988.

This is probably the most exclusive swimming pool in Denmark that made it on the map. Roskilde swimming pool covers everyone's needs and more.

In Holbæk harbour, right next to the water's edge, is this gem of a building. K31 is a 17-storey building with luxury apartments.

The former police station on Howitzvej has started projects in 2017-2021. The building is listed, which made the renovation extra challenging in some areas. It is Copenhagen Business School and SIH, which today use the building for several purposes such as lecture and course center. Hence the house is called Student Innovation House.

Billions were spent when the two new towers were to be built. These are two distinctive buildings in Ørestad. Together the two buildings unconditionally provide Denmark's largest office building.

With a project sum of over half a billion, this is a large building, which not only forms the framework for good studio housing, but at the same time beautiful business premises.

Irmabyen is divided into several construction plots, and it has become a highly sought after residential area. Here, families and singles can live in a modern district close to Copenhagen with nature in the backyard. Irmabyen offers detached houses, apartments and terraced houses. The area has not yet been fully developed and it is expected to take several more years before Irmabyen can be considered complete.

In the top 10 of the largest newly built residential buildings in Denmark is the large Rødovre Port. This is a building which is estimated to be able to house over 1000 residents. Lumega is the main supplier of all the lighting and has, in close dialogue with Kemp & Lauritzen, found the right lighting solutions.

Lumega was chosen as the main supplier of lighting for the new exciting residential building. For those who are known in Søborg, the furniture factory will evoke memories. Parts of the old furniture factory have been converted into businesses and the homes are built behind in a green oasis.

Sparekassen in Holbæk had an extremely advanced lighting system installed and programmed..

Stenlundscenteret will be expanded from 54 to 84 apartments. The team for this expansion has been GPP Arkitekter, Pluskontoret, LB-Consult, Høgh & Sønberg, Viggo Madsen with Odder municipality and S / I The independent general OK nursing home institution in Stenslund as the client. Of subcontractors, we have Henning Mortensen who i.a. has been responsible for the entire electrical contract in close collaboration with Lumega on the lighting part.

Tagdækkervej is part of the 'Special area Brain Injury', which is one of the social area's eight special areas in the central Jutland region. Tagdækkervej offers day care (activity and social services), 24-hour services (housing support) and rehabilitation. A rehabilitation course typically lasts three to six months. After this, the patients move into their own home, possibly with support, or they move in 24-hour services under municipal or regional auspices.

Humac er kendt for de kridhvide og åbne miljøer. Med deres snorlige designmanual opnår de en ensartethed i alle deres butikker. Manualen sætter specielle krav til interiør, men i særdeleshed helt ned til om produktet ligger på den eksakte udstillingsplads. Belysning er en vigtig del af designmanualen. Belysningen skaber helheden i butikken og den er med til belysning af produkterne i en korrekt vinkel, så skyggevirkninger f.eks. minimeres.

Sædder kirke i Thureby har fået udskiftet deres ældre facadebelysning til ny moderne LED belysning. Lumega har været i tæt dialog med Brightr, som har stået for denne proces..

Friplejehjem i Skive har fået installeret særdeles energieffektiv LED belysning i deres nye bygning, som snart åbnes til fordel for mange ældre i omegnen.

Formentlig den flotteste jagthytte i Danmark. Der er i høj grad tale om perfektion. Projektet består af en komplet renovering af eksisterende bygningsmasse. Anvendelsen af rummet er hovedsageligt jagt-orienteret.

I Danmark bliver der bygget mange nye plejehjem. Det gør der blandet andet grundet vores gode velfærdsamfund. Der bliver flere ældre og de skal have det godt med moderne flotte inspirerede lokaler. Morsø plejehjem er en af de helt moderne plejehjem i Danmark. Der er i høj grad tænkt på indretning i dette projekt. Indretning som tilgodeser de ældre beboere.

Beckhoff realisere åbne automatiseringssystemer på basis af PC-baseret styringsteknologi. De er førende på området og beskæftiger cirka 4.350 medarbejder på verdensplan. Beckhoff slog dørene op 13 juni 2019 til deres nye moderne domicil. Lumega har været totalleverandør af en teknologisk spændende belysning..

Gladsaxe Stadium is located together with other sports facilities and has been provided with a lighting solution by Lumega.

The idea behind Tim Hallen - it should be a gathering place for people of all ages. The place where people gather for all common types of sports. Tim Hallen had put out a tender for three different players, where Lumega won the project.

Anneberg Transport is an international transport company whose specialty is dangerous and liquid goods, gas, waste and powder. With over 50 years of experience in the industry they are creating innovative transport solutions. Lumega made contact with the company and has since examined the potential for electricity savings on the installed lighting system.

Lumega got involved in the project, which became a reality in close collaboration with our advisor. The right lighting solution was found for the Odd Fellow which is now installed in most of the building.

We work with many different types of projects within the (link: https://lumega.eu/segments text: commercial and private sector). For this project, Lumega delivered a complete lighting solution for the outdoor environment – in close collaboration with Concept Gardens.

Lumega delivered lighting to a project at Island Brygge, consisting of 78 residentials on 4 floors with associated (link: https://lumega.eu/segments/parking-garage-lighting text: underground parking), with a total of 92 parking spaces.

This case is worth mentioning, and is a really good example of what we have said before about the lifetime of the LED compared to traditional light sources. This project shows this in practice.

Total renovation of Pilehaveskolen containing construction and energy saving optimization and we, at Lumega, helped delivering almost all of the lighting to this project.

This project included total renovation of 158 apartments in Brøndby municipality counting new painted walls, bathrooms, kitchen set-ups with e.g. lighting where Lumega delivered lighting luminaries to.

AffaldPlus is a unit responsible for waste the entire part of South and West Zealand which consists of six different municipalities. The goal is to contribute to a healthier environment through sustainability and making full utilization of available resources and it’s the main reason why AffaldPlus Ringsted chose to install indoor and outdoor LED lighting.

The largest Danish union and unemployment fund ASE might now also be the most environmentally friendly union and unemployment fund. They have gotten a complete LED system installed in their headquarters in the southern part of Copenhagen. ASE who secures good salary and working conditions for Danes on a daily basis have now secured themselves a healthier working environment in their offices as well as lower energy costs.

Birkebo is a nursing home located in Elsinore on the north-eastern coast of Zealand, Denmark. Today, Birkebo consists of 72 apartments of which on third is occupied by elder people suffering from dementia. Birkebo had specific requirements with regard to the lighting and, for that reason, we at Lumega were contacted by the nursing home. Since that time, we have replaced the old fluorescent tubes with LED luminaires in order to ensure the best conditions for both occupants and employees at Birkebo.

The Municipality of Kolding has intensified its focus on energy savings, which includes anything from sustainable energy to green LED lighting. For that reason, we were contacted by the home care department in the Municipality of Kolding, who wanted a complete solution with energy efficient and healthy working light for its employees.

Parking house Ejler Bille is a newly established carpark in Ørestad in Copenhagen. The parking house opened in January 2018 and has room for 600 cars. CPH City & Port Development, who is behind the carpark, wanted an energy efficient solution, wherefore we at Lumega was chosen as the lighting supplier for the parking house. Parking house Ejler Bille is located between the multi-arena Royal Arena and (link: https://lumega.eu/cases/parking-house-richard-mortensen text: Parking house Richard Mortensen), to which we have delivered LED lighting as well.

Bellakvarter is a cosy residential area being built close to Bella Center and Bella Sky on Amager. The construction is uniting the classic Copenhagen with today’s sustainability, wherefore the association has focused on energy efficient lighting. At Lumega, we have been chosen as the supplier of LED lighting for some of the apartment buildings’ stairways.

The parking house Richard Mortensen is a newly established multi-story carpark, which is located in Ørestad in Copenhagen just five minutes from the multi-arena Royal Arena. The parking house opened in September 2017 and has room for 280 cars. CPH City & Port Development, who is the corporation responsible for establishing and driving parking facilities in Ørestad, considered the parking house’s lighting carefully and therefore, we at Lumega got the distinction of delivering an energy efficient LED system for the project.

Kastanievænget is a small residential neighbourhood in Jutland, located 10 minutes from Skive Fjord. The neighbourhood consists of a mixture of single-family houses and youth apartments, which are situated in a small blind alley. All of the bathrooms underwent renovation in 2017 and we at Lumega was chosen to deliver a tailored LED lighting solution to the project.

The residential area and owners association, named Øresund Strandpark consists of four apartment blocks with up to seven stories. The entire project designed by architect Henning Larsen, which is to be completed by 2019, is eventually going to be 42.000 square meters of fashionable apartments.

A correctional facility typically needs to fulfil different criteria than a prison does, but nevertheless gives the architects behind such a facility more freedom to be creative. SHL-architects, accompanied by Friis & Moltke, are the geniuses behind the Nuuk-based facility, and Lumega were chosen as the lighting supplier.

Nordhavn is currently most innovative part of Copenhagen in terms of architecture. Contractors from around the world fight to get their take on converting old warehouses and silos into fashionable apartments. The public areas in Nordhavn have to be as modern as the fashionable architecture that is appearing all around the city. At Lumega, we got the task of delivering public LED lighting to the docking area ‘Sandkajen’ that had to match the modern architectural surroundings.

By the end of June 2017, the newly renovated public swimming baths in Flintholm Denmark opened their doors to new and modern facilities. The renovation of the facilities in Flintholm is the last major piece in the puzzle of modernizing the entire city of Flintholm. At Lumega, we were so fortunate to be a part of this modernization, when we delivered an energy efficient and durable LED system to the modern facilities.

Axelborg is a larger building in central Copenhagen situated across Tivoli. In 2016 Lumega entered into a collaboration with the board of Axelborg with a view to optimize the lighting in the conference rooms which were to undergo a total renovation. The focus was to create an inviting atmosphere in the conference rooms by means of an optimization of the lighting solution of the time.

The Danish Shopping Centre Sillebroen, placed in Frederikssund, wanted to expand their business, and build a cinema in the shopping mall. Nordisk Film was therefore asked to build a new cinema in the mall, and Lumega have been developing the lighting system to fit every need for the cinema, and as a bonus, create an energy-saving LED solution that contributes to increased sales in the cinema.

Herlev Ice Rink needed to renew their illumination as previously, they had T5 fluorescent luminaires which was installed more than 10 years ago. The old luminaires consumed huge amounts of current and needed to be replaced very often. This resulted in great energy and maintenance costs.

The 8 house is a new building for habitation and business located in Ørestaden in Copenhagen. Normasym has in close collaboration with the board of the 8 House developed and designed a unique new lighting solution for the 8 house’s large basement areas which will give a wide range of advantages from now on.

New large residential building on Else Alfelts Vej 74 with four to seven floors located in Copenhagen S. The total area of the building is approx. 22,400 sqm and 6,900 sqm parking area, which has the option of housing 234 families close to inner city.

Mange der dyrker kampsport ser frem til dette byggeri står færdigt i 2022. Det er ikke uden grund. Projektet er med sine 3.000m2 moderne lokaler det første af sin art i Danmark. Det er Københavns kommunes ønske at kunne kombinere træningsfaciliteter for kampsportsudøvere med et område af leg og bevægelse særligt for de mindre børn. Projektet beløber sig i 105 millioner danske kroner og støttes af A.P. Møller Mæersk fonden med 30 millioner danske kroner.

In connection with a big renovation and rebuilding of the entire Vestamager shopping center, located in Copenhagen, Denmark, which cost more than DKK 40 million, the shopping center wanted an environmentally friendly and energy-efficient illumination solution. Therefore, they contacted Lumega in order to draw up an LED solution which would function for many years in the future.

Hanssted school, located in Copenhagen, Denmark wanted to get a new, big outdoor playing field illuminated. The school wanted a nice (link: https://lumega.eu/segments/sports-stadium-lighting text: illuminated playing field) in order to make it useable at all times, also in the dark. Furthermore, it was important that the lighting units did not brake if they were hit by e.g. balls, which meant that they had to be very robust.

The residential housing Sorgenfrivang II in Sorgenfri, Denmark have been through an extensive energy renovation and the project is the first in Denmark to receive the certification of sustainability, DGNB. Sustainability has been the most important focus in the process and therefore, Lumega was chosen to be in charge of an energy-efficient and environmentally correct illumination solution with LED.

Nordforbrændingen is a power station located just north of Copenhagen, in a city called Hørsholm. This power station takes the regions’ trash and waste materials and turns it into heat. The mayor of Hørsholm & CEO of Nordforbrændingen wanted to convert the station into being more energy efficient. Lumega was called in on this project to provide the knowledge and overall guidance to the engineers behind it. We were guiding and consulting the project, to ensure that the new lighting system lived up to the strict energy requirements.

Svendborg Kraftvarme A/S, a combined heat/power station (CPH-station) in Denmark, have a great focus on the environment and climate. Therefore, they wanted to improve their lighting solution. Previously, the CPH-station had installed big and old 400W high-pressure sodium lamps and halogen lamps with a yellowish and poor-quality light. The old lamps resulted in major power costs. Also, the lamps needed to be changed every year in order to maintain the light quality.

Plejecentret Hørgården, a Danish nursing home in Copenhagen, has been through a complete renovation in order to modernize the nursing home and keeping it up-to-date. The nursing home was built in 1974 and exists of three blocks in five floors which have been changed into a modern care facility with 189 new homes.

Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel wanted to renew their entire halogen lighting solution in the hotel. Radisson Blu wanted a solution that could ensure an energy saving as well as keeping the maintenance to a minimum. Moreover, the hotel wanted a solution which would minimize the power use when cooling down the lighting equipment.

At Sticks’n’Sushi, exclusiveness is in great focus. The chain of restaurants emphasizes good quality as well as wanting to secure that the guests have a good experience every time they visit one of the 13 restaurants in and around Copenhagen. As the restaurants at Tivoli Hotel and on Rungsted harbor were to be designed and build, Sticks’n’Sushi invited Lumega on board in the process in order to secure a lighting solution that could contribute to the special and exclusive atmosphere, which they strive for and which is already a part of their brand.

Uno X wanted to change their existing lighting equipment at numerous gas stations. They stressed that it is very important to have welcoming gas stations with a nice light, as a dimly light at the gas stations can result in the loss of customers. Uno X wanted a long lasting and energy saving solution.

Hørsholm, a municipality in Denmark, wanted to change their lighting at Hørsholm ice skating hall into an energy saving solution which could be paid back in relatively short time. Previously, Hørsholm municipality had a solution with high-pressure sodium lamps which provided a fine light, but the lamps were expensive to run, not very flexible and sensitive to ice hockey games. Furthermore, Hørsholm municipality wanted the new lighting solution to comply with specific regulations, as TV-transmission should be possible after the renovation.

Widex is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of digital hearing aids. The company’s hearing aids are distributed in more than 100 countries all over the world and the company has 4,000 employees on a global level. Their new headquarters was built in 2010 and is located north of Copenhagen in Denmark. The building is innovative, energy-efficient and driven by wind power.

Danske Bank has its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark and offers a complete range of services and banking operations. The core market of the bank is Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland where it provides services to all types of clients.
