Widex is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of digital hearing aids. The company’s hearing aids are distributed in more than 100 countries all over the world and the company has 4,000 employees on a global level. Their new headquarters was built in 2010 and is located north of Copenhagen in Denmark. The building is innovative, energy-efficient and driven by wind power.
During the construction of the new, big domicile which has a size of 35,000 square feet, Widex wanted an energy-efficient lighting solution which fitted their new, green profile. Therefore, Lumega was contacted and asked to create a unique solution which matched all requirements.
Lumega drew up a custom-made solution which fitted perfectly in the new domicile. We delivered a complete architectural LED solution which created a unique look on the building’s inner surface. The delivery existed of numerous types of lighting units including LED strips. These strips have made it possible to change the color of the light in the rooms where the LED strips are installed. This is a nice feature which can be used to change the atmosphere in a specific room. Furthermore, we delivered bigger projectors with RGBW function. This allows Widex to change the expression in the center of the dome in the building.
The total LED solution has created a professional expression in the entire building. LED is the perfect fit for the company’s new, energy-efficient profile.
