Affaldplus Ringsted
AffaldPlus is a unit responsible for waste the entire part of South and West Zealand which consists of six different municipalities. The goal is to contribute to a healthier environment through sustainability and making full utilization of available resources and it’s the main reason why AffaldPlus Ringsted chose to install indoor and outdoor LED lighting.
The Challenge
Too expensive in operation and the light’s ability to turn on the right volume quickly enough was challenges AffaldPlus Ringsted experienced in their previous set-up. They wanted the new solution to be energy-efficient with a lighting attenuating effect and Lumega delivered and accommodated these needs in the end result.
The solution
This case is interesting and slightly different than what we’ve worked with so far. Our solution consisted of different lighting concepts for both indoor and outdoor. To create the right lighting, the product High Bay was used from our Onestop product line with CRI at 80+, which helped to light up the inside area.
For outdoor lighting our Flood Light and a powerful street lighting luminarie were used from our Onestop product line, Street Light, that can switch on with full volume and attenuated as desired.
Most importantly for Affaldplus Ringsted, was to get a solution that minimized the energy-level as much as possible since many visit the recycling station each day. Lumega customized a concept where the lighting switched off when there hasn’t been any movement for five minutes – both inside and outside the warehouse. The lighting is switched on immediately when there’s movement and they haven’t experienced any problem with the lighting volume after implemented this set-up.
